Associate Attorney, Land Use/Municipal

Jacobowitz and Gubits, LLP is seeking to expand our Municipal/Land Use Team by adding an Associate Attorney. Responsibilities will include working with municipalities including various Town Boards, Planning Boards and Zoning Boards. You will be required to prepare correspondence, memoranda, real estate and litigation documents.

Qualifications:

  • At least three (3) years of practice experience specifically in land use and municipal law; transactional real estate experience, a plus
  • Ability to build rapport with clients, including municipal clientele, by maintaining excellent client relations and be able to work in a collaborative atmosphere in the office
  • Candidate must have outstanding writing, analytical and communication skills along with strong client service values.

Associate Attorney, Real Estate

Jacobowitz and Gubits, LLP is seeking to expand our Real Estate Team by adding an Associate Attorney. Responsibilities will include working with residential and commercial purchaser and/or sellers clients. In addition, the firm does represent several banks, therefore having experience representing bank institutions is critical. You will be required to prepare correspondence, memoranda, and oversee the real estate documents prepared by an assistant.

Qualifications:

  • At least two (2) years of practice experience specifically transactional real estate experience
  • Ability to build rapport with clients, by maintaining excellent client relations and be able to work in a collaborative atmosphere in the office.
  • Outstanding writing, analytical and communication skills along with strong client service values.

Legal Assistant, Litigation

Jacobowitz and Gubits, LLP seeks a full time Legal Assistant to join our Litigation team. This position will work to prepare legal documents for both Supreme and Appellate Courts

Qualifications:

  • At least three (3) years of prior litigation legal assistant experience
  • Experience utilizing e-filing required
  • Must have knowledge of interacting with Court System specifically Judge’s Law Clerks
  • Must be hyper organized to track deadlines
  • Knowledge of all pleadings and appropriate service timeframes of same
  • Must have the ability to stop and start projects for different attorneys
  • Proficient in Word, Word Perfect, Adobe, Outlook, Perfect Law and legal document management system; experience using Perfect Law or other legal software, a plus
  • Ability to prioritize, multitask, and work with strict deadlines
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Must be able to operate office copying and scanning machines
  • Ability to work independently in a busy environment

Legal Assistant, Real Estate

Jacobowitz and Gubits, LLP seeks a full time Legal Assistant to join our Real Estate team. This position will require preparation of both residential and commercial contracts, review and analysis of title reports, leases, deeds and other closing/transfer documents.

Qualifications:

  • At least four (4) years of prior real estate legal assistant experience
  • Must be familiar with online filings of real estate transfer documents with County Clerks
  • Must possess strong math skills with the ability to understand and calculate closing expenses
  • Must have experience preparing documents for bank documents where we represent the bank
  • Proficient in Word, Word Perfect, Adobe, Outlook, Perfect Law and legal document management system; experience using Perfect Law or other legal software, a plus
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Must be able to operate office copying and scanning machines
