A partner in Jacobowitz & Gubits, LLP, Mr. Gailey has been representing local governments and municipal officials in Orange, Ulster and Sullivan counties since 1988. He has been the Attorney for the Town of Blooming Grove since 1991, the Village of Washingtonville since 1992, the Village of Highland Falls since 1992, and the Town of Crawford since 2000.
Mr. Cappello is a partner with the firm and his primary areas of practice have been land use and municipal law since 1988. Mr. Cappello has represented private developers in multi-phase and large-scale commercial, residential, educational and mixed-use land use applications. He has also served as attorney for planning boards and zoning boards of appeals throughout Orange and Ulster counties.
Mr. Lithco is a partner in Jacobowitz and Gubits, LLP. Since joining the firm in 1989, George has represented private clients before municipal planning and zoning boards of appeal, as well as state and county regulatory agencies. He has also served as counsel to municipal planning boards and zoning boards of appeal in communities represented by the firm.
Bill Duquette is Senior Counsel with the firm. His primary practice is devoted to real estate, condominium/HOA, tax certiorari, and banking. His real estate experience varies from representing purchasers and sellers of raw land and single family homes to a commercial transaction with a value over $200 million.
Ms. Babcock is Managing Partner of the firm. Michele joined Jacobowitz and Gubits, LLP in 2003, and became a Partner in 2011. Michele has represented local governments, municipal officials and private applicants in zoning, land use and environmental permitting and in litigation.
Ms. Jacobowitz is a Partner with the firm and her practice includes commercial and residential real estate, business, land use development and municipal law. As the result of her prior business interests owning and managing real estate investment, development and management companies she has gained extensive legal experience with complex residential and commercial real estate transactions and land use development.
Mr. Schuster is a Partner at the firm. His varied practice includes formation, transactions and counseling for corporations, LLCs, partnerships and nonprofits; purchases and sales of businesses; commercial and residential real estate transactions and leasing; franchising; estate planning, administration and litigation; guardianship proceedings; and media, copyright and trademark.
Michael Wagner is senior counsel concentrating in elder law and estate planning. Michael received his Bachelor of Arts degree in 2009 from Duke University in Durham, North Carolina, with a major in History. Michael received his Juris Doctor in 2012 from Washington University School of Law in St. Louis. Michael was born and raised in Sullivan County and he is eager to be back in his community.
Marissa G. Weiss is an associate attorney practicing municipal law, land use law, and environmental law. Marissa is a resident of Hudson, NY in Columbia County. Marissa earned her earned her Bachelor of Arts, magna cum laude, from Franklin & Marshall College in Lancaster Pennsylvania with a major in Environmental Studies and French.
Paul E. Denbaum is an associate attorney practicing landlord tenant, litigation, municipal and real estate. Paul earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the State University of New York at Oswego in May, 2007. Paul earned his Juris Doctorate in May, 2010 from Albany Law School in Albany, New York.

Mr. Jacobowitz is the founder and a senior partner of Jacobowitz and Gubits, LLP. He practices Environmental/Land Use, Real Estate, Municipal and Business Law. He has been village and town attorney for municipalities throughout the Hudson Valley.
Mr. Wolinsky was a Partner of the firm from 1984-2016 and now serves as of counsel. Larry joined Jacobowitz and Gubits, LLP in 1984 and became partner of the firm in 1990. He practices principally in the areas of land use, environmental, municipal and real estate law.
