Michele Babcock, Esq. selected to serve as a member of the Board of Directors of the Sullivan County Chamber of Commerce Foundation
WALDEN, NY – The law firm of Jacobowitz and Gubits, LLP (J&G) is pleased to announce that Michele Babcock, Esq. has been selected to serve as a member of the Board of Directors of the Sullivan County Chamber of Commerce Foundation effective June 2019.
The Sullivan County Chamber of Commerce Foundation works to enhance the knowledge and workings of Sullivan County among individuals in business and to further enhance the programs and services of the Sullivan County Chamber of Commerce. The Leadership Sullivan Program is coordinated through the Sullivan County Chamber of Commerce Foundation, which program provides the education to create informed leaders who can work together to improve the quality of life and economic development in the County.
Michele participated in Leadership Sullivan and served as the Vice President of the Class of 2018. She had the chance to learn about the many great assets in the County, including its natural beauty, educational, historical and community based resources, tourism and healthcare opportunities, agricultural products and local businesses.
“I would now like to use my leadership skills and experience to support the Leadership Sullivan mission to improve the quality of life of those that live and work in Sullivan County and to find ways to encourage others to participate in the Leadership Sullivan program,” said Michele L. Michele is also the recipient of the 2018 Leadership Orange Hall of Fame Award and was recognized as a 2018 Sullivan County Business and Professional Women of the Year. Michele is a graduate of the Leadership Sullivan Class of 2018, Leadership Orange Class of 2011, and the Pattern Fellows Program Class of 2011. Michele currently serves as a member of the board of trustees of the Hudson Highlands Nature Museum and the corresponding secretary of the Women’s Bar Association of Orange and Sullivan Counties.
