The law firms of Jacobowitz and Gubits, LLP and Silver and Lesser, PC, announced that they will enter into an affiliation where they will provide Of Counsel services to each other. The joint affiliation became effective September 1, 2015 and enables both firms to better meet the varied needs of their clients.
For almost 50 years, Jacobowitz and Gubits has been one of the region’s most respected law firms representing over 35 practice areas including Land Use, Environmental and Zoning Law as well as Municipal, Real Estate, Business and Elder Law.
Barry Silver and Sol Lesser have been practicing law together in the Hudson Valley for 34 years. Barry Silver established his firm in 1965. In 1981, Sol Lesser left his position as Executive Assistant Orange County District Attorney to join Barry in private practice. Since that time, the two have been among the most proficient and well respected attorneys in the fields of matrimonial, family and criminal law.
The new affiliation broadens the scope of practice areas that will now become available to Silver and Lesser’s loyal client base.
“The two firms offer practice strengths that are complementary, which will benefit our collective client base,” said Larry Wolinsky, managing partner of Jacobowitz and Gubits. “Both firms have deep roots in the Hudson Valley and long-standing reputations for providing the highest quality of legal services.”
The new relationship allows clients to schedule consultations at Jacobowitz and Gubits’ Walden office or Silver & Lesser’s New Windsor Office.
