LWJacobowitz & Gubits is pleased to announce that Managing Partner Larry Wolinsky has been named Chairman of the Board at Hudson Valley Pattern for Progress.

Jonathan Drapkin, Pattern for Progress President & CEO said, “Larry’s deep rooted understanding of the Hudson Valley, his knowledge of the critical issues facing us, will make him the ideal leader for Pattern at this time.”

Mr. Wolinsky was most recently Vice Chairman of the not-for-profit policy, planning, advocacy and research organization whose mission is to promote regional, balanced and sustainable solutions that enhance the growth and vitality of the Hudson Valley. He has been with the organization in excess of ten years and has played an integral part in Pattern’s regional planning and policy efforts. He is widely known for his role in the creation and implementation of many of the Valley’s most regionally significant development projects.

“I am honored to have been named Chairman of Pattern for Progress and I am delighted to work with our Board of Directors to move Pattern’s strategic plan forward for the benefit of the Hudson Valley. This is a time of challenge and opportunity, and we look forward to continued progress in 2013 and beyond,” said Wolinsky.

Mr. Wolinsky joined Jacobowitz & Gubits in 1984 and became a partner in 1990. He leads the firm’s Environmental/Land Use Team and is also a member of the Municipal team. In addition to his service at Pattern, Mr. Wolinsky is Vice Chair of the SUNY New Paltz Foundation, and is a member of the Board of Directors of the Sullivan County Partnership for Economic Development.
