Mr. Wolinsky joined Jacobowitz & Gubits in 1984 and became partner of the firm in 1990. He currently heads the Environmental/Land Use Team and is a member of the Municipal Team.
Mr. Wolinsky's land use practice has resulted in commercial and residential developments significantly enhancing the quality of life throughout the Hudson Valley. His background as a land use planner has sensitized him to the larger environmental concerns that must be considered for responsible development. Mr. Wolinsky's Environmental Law experience extends from SEQRA compliance to CERCLA litigation in federal and state courts. He is also the Attorney for the Village of Maybrook and special land use counsel to the Town of Tuxedo.
Mr. Wolinsky is a member of the American Planning Association and the American Institute of Certified Planners. He is also a member of the Orange County and New York State Bar Association's Municipal and Environmental Law Sections, the American Bar Association's Urban and Local Government Section, and the American Planning Association's Planning and Law Division Section. Mr. Wolinsky has frequently lectured at Bar and Planning Associations on issues of land use and environmental law.
Larry received his B.A. degree in history from the University of Miami in 1973. In 1976, he obtained a Masters of City and Regional Planning degree from the University of Pennsylvania. In 1984, he received his Juris Doctor degree from New York Law School. He is admitted to practice in New York and New Jersey and the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York and New Jersey.
