J&G Supports Affordable Housing
John Cappello,
partner at Jacobowitz & Gubits, LLP, recently took part in several conferences and seminars throughout the Hudson Valley regarding workforce and affordable housing.
On May 7, 2007, J&G participated in the advanced Three-Session "Planning & Zoning for Workplace and Affordable Housing" Conference hosted by the Orange County Municipal Planning Federation. John was a contributor to the "Taking Part" panel discussion; joining other panelists that collectively represented regional and local government, finance, profit and non-profit builders, and housing advocates. The panel discussion reviewed opportunities and challenges of workforce and affordable housing.
On May 11, 2007 at Pace Law School Land Use Leadership Alliance Training Program in White Plains, John made a presentation on the efforts of Housing Solutions Partnership to promote workforce housing in Orange County.
Mr. Cappello and Larry Wolinksy, also at partner at J&G, were actively involved in the development and presentation of the Pattern for Progress' Annual Spring Conference titled "Affordable Housing: Housing the Hudson Valley" that took place on Tuesday, June 12, 2007 at SUNY New Paltz. Mr. Cappello also served as the moderator for the Break-Out Session Section IV, "Government as Your Partner," where he led the discussion about identifying and developing workforce housing.
