Jacobowitz & Gubits attorneys Starkman, Brady garner awards; John Revella joins firm
Mark Starkman, associate attorney at Jacobowitz & Gubits, LLP, was recently given the title of a Contact Breakfast "Diehard" by the Poughkeepsie Area Chamber of Commerce in the Hudson Valley Business News. Mr. Starkman is actively involved with various Poughkeepsie Chamber events, and has attended 55 breakfasts from 2001 to 2007. The Poughkeepsie Area Chamber of Commerce Contact Breakfasts are monthly events designed for individuals to network with other business professionals, typically designed around a theme or keynote speaker and sponsored by a different local business. Jacobowitz & Gubits, LLP was the sponsor of March's Contact Breakfast.
Amanda Brady, associate attorney at Jacobowitz & Gubits, LLP, was recently presented with the "2007 Outstanding New Attorney Award" by the Women's Bar Association of Orange and Sullivan Counties (WBAOSC). The award is given to an attorney practicing law for less than 10 years who has made noteworthy contributions to the WBAOSC and outstanding achievements in the profession of law. Ms. Brady was also elected as the Recording Secretary and as a Director of the WBAOSC, and will be sworn in at the organization's Annual Dinner in June.
Jacobowitz & Gubits, LLP announces that John Revella has recently joined the firm as a law graduate working in employment discrimination law. Mr. Revella graduated with his Juris Doctor from the University of Mississippi in 2005. As a new addition to the firm, John will assist in upholding Jacobowitz & Gubits' commitment to experience, solutions and teamwork.
