Partner's Present Continuing Education Programs

Howard Protter Esq., Managing Partner of Jacobowitz and Gubits, LLP, was the Program Chair of the continuing legal education program for the New York State Bar Association's Municipal Law Section Annual Meeting in January 2003. The annual meeting brings together municipal attorneys throughout the state to learn & discuss the newest legal issues facing local governments.
On Monday, February 17, 2003, John C. Cappello, partner at Jacobowitz and Gubits, LLP, and Roger P. Akeley, AICP, Director of Dutchess County Planning and Development presented a program entitled "Moderate Income / Affordable Housing - Does the law require that you provide it? If so, why aren't you?" at the New York State Association of Towns 2003 Training School and Annual Meeting. This program focused on the increasing cost of housing in New York State and Local Governments Rule in Addressing included a practical discussion on tools municipalities can utilize.
