Sandy Altman Hosts Show On Elder Care

New Elder Care Show to Debut on WTBQ January 27th 2012

Walden, N.Y. (January 19, 2012) - Jacobowitz & Gubits is pleased to announce that Sandy Altman, who is Senior Counsel and a member of the Business, Trust & Estates team at the firm, will be hosting a monthly radio show focusing on elder care & estate planning issues. The first show will air on WTBQ (93.5FM and 1110AM) in Warwick on Friday, January 27, 2012 from 9:00am - 10:00am.

The first show will focus on elder abuse and what can be done about it. Joining Mr. Altman will be two guests: Irene Kurlander, Senior Case Supervisor and Tim Murphy, Case Supervisor for the Orange County Department of Social Services.

Mr. Altman will be exploring elder abuse in the context of being able to recognize it, the common perpetrators, and strategies for dealing with elder abuse. "Elder abuse is more common than most people know. It's critical to raise awareness of this issue and give people ways to prevent it from happening", says Altman.
