Robert E. DiNardo
Mr. DiNardo is the Team Leader on the Litigation Team. His primary practice has been devoted to employment and general commercial litigation in federal and state courts. His practice includes prosecuting and defending employment discrimination cases, wage claims under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FSLA), and health issues under the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA). He also handles complex environmental, commercial, and real estate litigation, frequently providing litigation support in a collaborative effort with the firm's teams.
Mr. DiNardo served as Town Justice, Town of Hamptonburgh, from 1974-1978, and as Town Attorney for the Town of Hamptonburgh from 1978-1994. He is an adjunct professor at St. John's University in the Sports Management Department. Mr. DiNardo is a member of the Orange County Bar Association, serving as president from 1991-1992. He is a member of the New York State Bar Association, Employment Law Section and Business Law Section. He served as a member of the New York State House of Delegates from 1996 to 1999.
Bob is a graduate of Fordham University and received his Juris Doctor degree and graduated New York Law School cum laude in 1969. He was editor-in-chief of the New York Law Forum, 1968-1969, a Special Courts Martial Judge, U. S. Marine Corps, 1971-1972. He served in the United States Marine Corps, JAG Corps, from 1969-1972, served a tour of duty in Vietnam, and was awarded the Navy Commendation Medal.
Bob was admitted to the District of Columbia Bar in 1970 and the New York State Bar in 1972, and is admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York and the Second Circuit Court of Appeals.
