Kara Cavallo is an associate with the firm's litigation team, concentrating in federal and state general and commercial civil litigation and appeals. Kara received her Bachelor of Science degree, magna cum laude, in 1994 from Arizona State University, with a major in Political Science and a minor in Spanish. Kara was on the Dean's List and received the Quino E. Martinez award for outstanding academic achievement and community service.
Kara received her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Arizona, College of Law in 1999, where she was an Executive Note Editor for the Arizona Law Review and published her Note entitled: The ABA's Resolution Calling for a Moratorium on Executions: What Jurisdictions Can Do To Ensure that the Death Penalty Is Imposed Responsibly, 40 Ariz. L. Rev. 1515, 1998.
Kara clerked for the Honorable James B. Sult at the Arizona Court of Appeals after graduating from law school, and previously practiced with the litigation department of a large international law firm.
Kara is admitted to practice in the state and federal courts of New York and Arizona. She is also a member of the New York State Bar Association, the Orange County Bar Association, and the Women's Bar Association of Orange and Sullivan Counties.
