Mr. Thomas is the senior partner in the firm's Litigation Team, involving business, real estate, commercial matters, collections, mechanic's lien proceedings, mortgage foreclosure proceedings, real property tax assessment proceedings, elder law and Surrogate's Court proceedings.
Mr. Thomas is a member of the New York State Bar Association, Member, Sections on Insurance, Negligence and Compensation Law; Trial Lawyers, a member of No-Fault, Uninsured Motorist and Commercial Panels of the American Arbitration Association, Ninth Judicial District Compulsory Arbitration Panel, Orange County Foreign Trade Zone Management Board, a member of Orange County Bar Association (Chairman, Grievance Committee) and American Bar Association.
He has been a lecturer for the New York State Bar Association's continuing legal education program for practical skills dealing with mortgage and mechanic's lien foreclosures and for the Mid Hudson Chapter of the Appraisal Institute.
"Jack" is a graduate of Georgetown University (B.S., 1964) in Washington, D.C. and received his Juris Doctor degree in 1968 from St. John's University in New York City. He is a member of Phi Alpha Delta law fraternity. He was admitted to the New York State Bar in 1969 and is admitted to practice before the United States District Courts for the Northern, Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, U.S. Tax Court, the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and before the United States Supreme Court.
