Honored by Women’s Bar Association of Orange and Sullivan County
The Women’s Bar Association of Orange & Sullivan Counties (“WBAOSC”) held its Annual Membership Awards Dinner on April 20, 2017, at West Hills Country Club in Middletown, New York. At the event, Allison Cappella, Esq., an associate attorney with Jacobowitz and Gubits, practicing in the areas of tax certiorari and elder law, was honored with the 2017 Outstanding New Lawyer Award.
This award is presented annually to a WBAOSC member who has been admitted to the New York State Bar for not more than ten years, who has made noteworthy contributions to WBAOSC, and who has made outstanding achievements within the profession or the community. Allison currently serves on the Board of Safe Harbors of the Hudson, and the Newburgh Preservation Association. She is a member of the Family Selection Committee for Habitat for Humanity of Greater Newburgh and was a lead organizer of the first annual International Day of Happiness in Newburgh. Allison is an active member of WBAOSC and has been a willing volunteer; including helping coordinate the Habitat for Humanity event earlier this month.
“All of us at J&G are proud of Allison for her accomplishments and she is very deserving of this honor,” said Michele Babcock, Managing Partner of Jacobowitz and Gubits.
